3-23-2011 [Russia, Moscow/Obninsk] Curveball + Silver Lining On 2-26-2011 I stood in the Bangkok airport in shock and momentary despair, as my plane for Russia left to the MotherLand without me. My first missed flight ever. WHY?!?! WHY ME?!?!!!! I know it's all for the better. I know it's all an illusion. But HOW is THIS good?!!! This is what my panicking mind was telegraphing at warp-speed. I did not realize just how badly I wanted to see my family until the "candy" was taken away from me. I suppose, that is the basic human nature – "you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone...." [as the popular song puts it]. Fortunately, gone was only the plane. In a day, though, an answer has come.
