"The Human Journey" is out as an EBOOK

Image
Now that I'm back to the "e-civilization," it's time to invite my book to join it too. So, the odyssey of "The Human Journey" is now available as a PDF and an iBook for the iPad - in that version you can actually leaf through it with full animation, as you would through a physical book. Enjoy the beautiful graphics while saving the trees [both in the form of printing paper and your $$$]! The Human Journey (ebook) One Path to Awakening by Nika One "The Human Journey is a profound three-dimensional odyssey through the key stages of consciousness evolution that unite us as human beings. It is the universal message of awakening as spoken by the Avatars throughout the ages, now expressed visually for the first time. When one experiences the 30 stages of "The Human Journey," absorbing its transformational art, poetry and prose fully, awareness emerges naturally, effortlessly. It is a unique perspective on the archetypal myth of the He...

Gratitude and Gear

Gratitude and Gear Now that the Journey has concluded, I'd like to give hearty gratitude to the people and things that made this experience brighter. To the roots – saga concluded

Image
03-11-2012 Utah, U.S.A. To the roots – saga concluded When the prodigal one returns Mother's love Shines even brighter My beautiful Mama Some say, big changes happen gradually. Though, in my experience, it is the instant that “shifts the arrows” on our rails. And so it went this time – on that windy peak of Gokyo Ri, I felt my mission was complete. As Woland pointed out : “what's the point in chasing that which has run its course? ” It was as if the air has suddenly been let out of the balloon. No desire or will to go on. The farthest point of Gokyo Ri, 5360 m, Sagarmatha Natl. Park Lukla airport Back in Kathmandu I realized – I was tired. Really, really tired. All of a sudden, I felt like being close with the people I love. I'm not much for missing anyone [besides, maybe missing some “missing gene” - or so I thought] – but here I realized how much I did miss them.  With that realization, I booked the ticket and anticlimactically flew the 32 hours to my M...

Into the New Yonder - in style - Namche Bazaar, Nepal

Image
1-1-2012 Namche Bazaar, Alt 3400 m. Sagarmatha Natl Park, Nepal Just as the python-esque path brought me to Namche Bazaar, it has also brought me a hotel that contained [miraculously!] a hot shower in the room [!] and – oh wonder of wonders – an electric blanket. All of it – a luxury one hardly imagines at 3500m in the heart of the Himalayas. A vew from my room [Hotel Namche] on the first day of the year For the New Year's eve, I was setting my sights upon some garlic soup, the usual high altitude fare, but the mountain gods have sent me yet another surprise gift. Two charismatic, well-traveled Dutchmen walking up to Gokyo. It turned out that staying up past midnight was not an issue after all. Their exotic journey stories of the many years of intense world exploration – from Arctic to the Himalayas and Patagonia – were more entertainment than I could wish for. Not to mention – all the “off the wall” ideas of the beautiful sights to behold. To our great surprise, John,...

Crown of the World or The Snow Leopard Chronicles [Gokyo Lakes Trek, Nepal - Sagarmatha National Park] Cho-Ou and her entourage - view from the 5th Gokyo Lake[5000 m]. Cho-Oyu alt: 8201 m “Days and months are the travellers of eternity. So are the years that pass by....I myself have been tempted for a long time by the cloud-moving wind – filled with a strong desire to wander.....I walked through the mists and clouds, breathing the thin air of high altitudes and stepping on slippery ice and snow, till at last through a gateway of clouds, as it seemed, to the very paths of the sun and moon, I reached the summit, completely out of breath and nearly frozen to death. Presently the sun went down and the moon rose glistening in the sky.”                            ~~~Basho                           “The Narrow Road to the Deep North” 12-19-2011 – ...
